Three transported to the hospital after I-75 accident

At approximately 10:45 p.m. on January 15, multiple crews from Alachua County Fire Rescue responded to a vehicle accident with extrication at mile marker 380 on I-75 southbound, with initial information that a single vehicle had rolled on its side on the shoulder.
The first-arriving crews quickly began assessing the situation and triaging the patients, finding two involved vehicles and three total patients. With great skill and precision, crews were able to extricate the patients quickly and prepare them for transport. All three patients were transported to Shands at UF Health, two of them as Trauma Alerts.
Alachua County Fire Rescue would like to remind everyone to be extra vigilant when driving in inclement weather.
