Tioga Town Center hosts inaugural Spring Arts Show, benefiting Girls Place

Press release from Tioga Town Center

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Tioga Town Center is thrilled to announce the First Annual Spring Arts Show, benefiting Girls Place, Inc., on May 16, 2026, from 2-6 p.m. This new event format is yet another way Tioga Town Center is bringing together community and purpose, while showcasing some of the best talent in our area.

Dozens of creatives will gather to showcase artwork, hand-crafted gifts, jewelry, pottery, mixed-medium art, houseplants, and more. Guests can also expect to enjoy music from Kiss 105.3, food, beverages, and refreshments from the local Tioga Town Center restaurants. The event will be free to attend, open to the public, family-friendly, and pet-friendly.

Similar to the Annual Tioga Town Center Car Show, the beneficiary will rotate each year for further impact within our region. 100% of booth fees from participating vendors will go directly to Girls Place.

“We are honored to be the beneficiary of the inaugural Spring Arts Show. Proceeds from the event directly support our Summer Day Camp Program,” said Tara Counts, Operations Director for Girls Place, Inc. She continued, “About 200 girls benefit from 9 weeks of impactful experiences each summer —including local and out-of-county field trips and unique enrichment activities that many of our girls might not otherwise have the chance to enjoy. The support from Tioga Town Center and the vendors ensures that we can continue offering high-quality programming that empowers our girls to grow courageous and strong all summer long.”

At Girls Place, they empower girls to grow courageous, strong, and self-sufficient. They inspire their girls to celebrate themselves—their minds, their hearts, and their physical well-being. Girls Place girls become independent women who embrace diversity, express their ideas, rise above obstacles, enhance their communities, and lead those around them. At Girls Place, they believe that all girls should be inspired, challenged, and nurtured to become their very best.

“We are so excited to introduce yet another new, nonprofit fundraising event for our community,” said Corin Ferrell, Senior Community Manager for Tioga Town Center and The Flats at Tioga Town Center. She continued, “We hope to shine a light on the amazing work Girls Place is doing right here in our community, while showcasing some of the amazing local talent, right here in our region.”
