Tom Parsons takes gold at X-Games

Gainesville resident and well-known international X-Games competitor Tom Parsons claimed another Gold medal in X-Games Best Whip, this time at X-Games Chiba, Japan. 

Tom said he was surprised by the result in Japan because he had not had much time to prepare. He had been doing rehab from surgery for an injury that occurred at the end of 2021 and then had no place to practice in Alachua County due to zoning restrictions. 

In 2021, after 18 months of no competitions due to COVID, Tom won Best Whip at X-Games in CA as well as at Big Hill Jam in OR. He has 3 X-Games Gold and 2 Silver medals in Best Whip. He has also competed in Step Up and Quarter Pipe Big Air. He has also won Monster Energy Cup Best Whip twice. He has appeared in a number of moto videos available on the web as well as many YouTube clips, and he produced “The Valley”, a free ride video on the Red Bull site.

Tom will be riding at the Monster Jam World Finals at Camping World Stadium in Orlando this Saturday and Sunday.
