TPUSA presents former U.S. Congressman Dave Brat on March 3

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – On Monday, March 3, the University of Florida’s Turning Point USA chapter is hosting its next guest speaker, former U.S. Congressman Dave Brat. The event will take place at 7 p.m. in the Reitz Union Grand Ballroom. 

Labeled by Politico in 2014 as “the man who upended the Republican Party,” Dave Brat rose to the national stage when he defeated then-U.S. House Majority Leader Eric Cantor in the Republican primary election. As a leader of the Tea Party movement, Brat became the first person to oust a sitting House Majority Leader in the nation’s history.

Brat is a frequent co-host and contributor on Steve Bannon’s WarRoom podcast, which is one of the most popular political shows in the country.

Brat’s visit comes on the heels of UF’s TPUSA chapter hosting Charlie Kirk to a crowd of thousands of students on Thursday at UF’s Plaza of the Americas.
