Truck carrying USPS mail overturns on I-75

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Two drivers received minor injuries this morning when a semi hit a pickup truck that was stopped in the outside lane of I-75.

In the early morning hours of March 19, a semi was traveling southbound in the outside lane of I-75 near the 374 mile marker when the driver saw a parked white pickup truck with no lights activated, partially blocking the outside lane. The semi swerved to the left to avoid the pickup truck but hit the pickup truck and overturned. Both drivers received minor injuries.

Traffic cameras later showed USPS mail trucks responding to the scene to recover the semi’s cargo.
