True crime journalist Dustin Terry transfers TheColdCases.com to Cold Cases International co-founder, launches education platform CollegeClasses.org

Press release from CollegeClasses.org

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Dustin Terry, founder of investigative journalism platform TheColdCases.com, announced today the transfer of the website to the co-founder of Cold Cases International following the death of organization co-founder Jarred Adams earlier this year.

Adams, who passed away in 2026, co-founded Cold Cases International with a mission to bring attention to unsolved criminal cases and support families seeking justice. His co-founder has committed to continuing his legacy through the organization’s investigative work.

“TheColdCases.com was achieving remarkable things in bringing attention to forgotten cases,” said Terry. “After Jarred’s passing, it became clear that transferring the platform to someone who shared his vision and could continue that important work was the right decision for the brand and the families we serve.”

Terry, a serial online media entrepreneur, has redirected his focus to CollegeClasses.org, a premium education domain he recently acquired with an appraised value of $125,000. The platform is entering its pre-development phase in Gainesville, Florida.

“I see an opportunity to create jobs right here in Gainesville while building something that genuinely helps students,” Terry said. “My vision is to hire college students to develop CollegeClasses.org into a comprehensive resource that helps their peers make sound financial and long-term academic decisions.”

The CollegeClasses.org platform will focus on helping college students navigate course selection, general education requirements, and academic planning strategies. Terry plans to leverage his experience building TheColdCases.com to create another values-driven online property.

“I learned from TheColdCases.com how to build niche online real estate,” Terry explained. “With this opportunity to acquire an elite property like CollegeClasses.org, I want to achieve the same values-driven impact—this time in education.”

Terry’s transition from true crime journalism to educational resources reflects his commitment to creating digital platforms that serve specific communities. TheColdCases.com will continue its investigative mission under new leadership, while CollegeClasses.org enters development with a focus on student success and local job creation.
