If you love cheering the Gators while they compete in Southeastern Conference gymnastics dual meet action, 2021 has just what you want.

The SEC’s eight gymnastics programs’ regular-season schedules consist entirely of dual meets versus league teams.

2020 SEC Schedule Format:
Each SEC gymnastics team competes in eight dual meets – all versus league opponents – over a 10-week span, followed by the SEC Gymnastics Championships on March 20 in New Orleans. There is a home-away meeting with one SEC opponent for each program, with Florida traveling to Auburn to open the season and closing home action on Feb. 26 versus the Tigers.

The regular-season champion is based on the results in one meeting versus each SEC opponent. The Gators’ home finale versus Auburn is the meet tallying toward the regular-season standings.

The Why:
The decision to limit competition to league opponents is based on the need for maximum flexibility in making any necessary scheduling adjustments while reacting to developments around the COVID-19 pandemic and continued advice from medical professionals. The schedule includes two open dates for all schools, in Week 5 and Week 10, to allow for rescheduling of postponed events.

Florida’s 2021 Home Schedule:
Florida’s home schedule has a pair of meets in January and February. Home action begins Jan. 15 with Georgia, and Missouri visits the Exactech Arena at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center on Jan. 29.

A fan favorite – the 15th Annual Gators Link to Pink – is set for Feb. 19. The dual versus Kentucky is part of a SEC initiative to raise breast cancer awareness. Most of the league’s teams participate in a “pink” meet each season. 2021 home action concludes Feb. 26 when Auburn makes its return trip to Gainesville.
