UF Health names SVP for outpatient practices

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Dennis Bierle, M.H.A., has been selected as the new senior vice president for outpatient clinic operations for the UF Health clinical enterprise.

In his new role, he will work to create a more unified approach to the system’s network of physician practices and outpatient care, with a focus on operational excellence, patient access, and clinical integration.

Bierle will focus on further elevating the patient and provider experience while supporting the continued delivery of high-quality, compassionate care across all practices. He will collaborate with physician leaders to further strengthen and align best practices throughout all outpatient settings.

“Dennis brings nearly 25 years of executive experience leading hospital, ambulatory, and medical group operations for some of the nation’s leading healthcare systems,” said John Phipps, UF Health EVP and chief clinical officer. “He has a stellar track record of driving operational excellence, improving financial performance, and fostering physician engagement. He’s passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and advancing organizational goals.”

Bierle was president of CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center ‒ Bergan Mercy in Nebraska, a 2,200-employee, 397-bed academic medical center. Before that, he was vice president, ambulatory and primary care at Children’s Nebraska. Other posts include chief operating officer for Banner Medical Group and chief operating officer at Nebraska Medicine.

A member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, he holds a Master of Health Administration from Bellevue University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Dakota State University.
