Eric Friese has officially made the German Olympic team in the 100 free relay. Last weekend, Friese competed at the 2021 TYR Pro Swim Series in Mission Viejo California in the 100 free.

Friese went 49.05, a personal best by .56 seconds, to place second in the 100 free. With that time, he is now tied for third in Germany in the 100 free and has qualified for a spot on the German 4×100 free relay team.

Quotables – Eric Friese

“Making it to the Olympics was always my dream, and I am still in disbelief that I made it. I am beyond grateful that the coaches gave me the chance to be a Florida Gator, and there is no place I would rather be than the University of Florida. I plan to continue and train hard and push my teammates in preparation for the games.”
