UF Men’s Swimming & Diving: Smith Named SEC Co-Swimmer of the Week

Three wins at Auburn for the Gators star

Florida’s Kieran Smith was named the Southeastern Conference’s Co-Swimmer of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday. Smith shares the honor with Texas A&M’s Shaine Casas.

Smith won the 100-yard backstroke (47.22), the 100-yard freestyle (42.75), and the 200-yard IM (1:43.76) on Saturday at Auburn to collect this honor.

Additionally, the Ridgefield, Conn., native produced B-cut times in all three of his victories as he continues to perform at a high level for the Gators.

The 14-time All-American appears set to chase more glory at the SEC Championships in February.
