UF Softball: Five Gators Named to NFCA All-Region Teams

The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced the 2021 Division I NFCA All-Region accolades on Thursday afternoon. Overall, Florida placed five on the All-Southeast Region teams.

Elizabeth Hightower, Hannah Adams, and Charla Echols were named to the first team, while Kendyl Lindaman garnered a spot on the second team, and Julia Cottrill was tabbed a third team selection.

The NFCA All-Southeast Region honors for Hightower, Adams, Echols, and Cottrill are the first of their careers, while this is Lindaman’s second All-Southeast Region team accolade. The Ankeny, Iowa, native is a three-time NFCA All-American and the only returning All-American to the 2021 squad.

Under the tutelage of head coach Tim Walton, 24 players have earned 48 NFCA All-Southeast Region honors since 2006.

The 2021 NFCA Division I All-America teams will be announced Wednesday, June 2.
