Florida softball and head coach Tim Walton, along with Softball Canada, have announced that the Gators and the world’s No. 3-ranked Team Canada will compete in a 10-inning exhibition Saturday, April 10, at 1:30 p.m.

Florida recently announced that it would also be hosting Team USA for an exhibition contest Tuesday, March 16, at 6 p.m. on the SEC Network+.

“This is another incredible opportunity for our program to test ourselves against some of the world’s best athletes,” Head Coach Tim Walton said. “Team Canada is full of talented players that have achieved success at the highest levels in their collegiate, professional, and international careers. We’re certainly excited to host them at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium in April, and we look forward to the level of competition that they’ll bring in this exhibition.”

This will be the first time that the Gators and Team Canada will compete against each other, but it will be the fourth national team that the program will compete against. In 2019, Florida opened the newly renovated KSP Stadium against Team Japan and most recently welcomed back former Gator Greats Michelle Moultrie, Kelsey Stewart, and Aubree Munro along with Team USA in 2020.

Ticket information regarding the addition of the Softball Canada exhibition game will be communicated to 2021 ticket holders soon.
