The SEC has selected one student-athlete from each school to a Community Service Team for every SEC-sponsored sport since 2004.

Redshirt sophomore Kinsey Goelz was named to the Southeastern Conference Community Service Team by the league office Wednesday morning. The SEC has selected one student-athlete from each school to a Community Service Team for every SEC-sponsored sport since 2004.

“Kinsey is a selfless person who always gives more than is asked of her,” Head Coach Tim Walton said. “Since she has been in our program, she has always put the team first and has a positive attitude in everything she does. Kinsey would do anything for anyone, anytime. I’m very proud of Kinsey and look forward to watching her grow even more over the next several years.”

Goelz spent her time volunteering through a variety of local events this past year with the Gators. The Myakka City, Fla. native has made multiple trips to Shands Children’s Hospital to help put smiles on children’s faces who were going through difficult times, helped Trinity United Methodist Church organize and build food baskets for families in need of a Thanksgiving meal, and played kickball with kids from the local Special Olympics organizations.

She has also earned 2018 First-Year SEC Academic Honor Roll and 2019 SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll accolades.
