The Southeastern Conference announced its Week Six weekly softball awards Tuesday afternoon.

Senior Kendyl Lindaman earned SEC Co-Player of the Week, and junior Natalie Lugo was tabbed SEC Pitcher of the Week after a pair of games against Penn and No. 12 Florida State last week at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium.

At the plate, Lindaman went 4-for-4 with a pair of timely home runs against the Quakers and the Seminoles. The Ankeny, Iowa native’s first home run came in the 1st inning to give the Gators a 1-0 lead against Penn, and her second occurred in the 3rd inning of a tied 2-2 game against the Florida State.

Lindaman crushed her seventh home run of the season off FSU reliever Kathryn Sandercock to give the Gators a 4-2 lead that it wouldn’t give up. This is her second career SEC Player of the Week honor.

In the circle, Natalie Lugo extended her scoreless inning streak to 14.0 innings after a pair of saves against Penn and Florida State.

The West Covina, Calif. native helped secure the 3-1 win over the Quakers when she entered in the 5th inning and limited the opposition to just three base runners and struck out five. In the 6th inning against Florida State, Lugo entered with a 4-2 lead and retired six of the final seven Seminole batters she faced for her league-leading sixth save of the year.

Lugo also ranks first nationally with six saves on the year, and this is her first career SEC Pitcher of the Week honor.

In week five, the Gators swept the SEC weekly awards with sophomore outfielder Cheyenne Lindsey, freshman left-handed pitcher Rylee Trlicek and freshman catcher Julia Cottrill being named SEC Player, Pitcher, and Freshman of the Week.
