The Florida women’s golf team finished tied for 11th in their debut at the Moon Golf Invitational

The University of Florida women’s golf team concluded play in their spring debut, carding an 8-over par 872 to finish in a two-way tie for 11th in the field of 18.

Sophomore Annabell Fuller led the Gators behind a strong 5-under second round to finish in sole possession of 10th place. This marks the fourth time in just seven tournaments that the all-star has recorded a top-10 finish in collegiate competition.

Addie Baggarly carded the second-best score for Florida, finishing 2-over and tied for 31st.

Jenny Kim, Elin Esborn, and Marina Escobar rounded out the Gators lineup.

Florida will head back out onto the course in five days when they look to claim their sixth consecutive title at the Gators Invitational in Gainesville, Fla.

Head Coach Emily Glaser’s Take

On this past week of play…
“A lot of takeaways from this week. Annabell (Fuller) was a bright spot for us. She played some really great golf and showed why she is a world-class player. As a team, we just made too many mistakes on a scoreable golf course.”

On what’s next…
“Our goals are still the same, to improve and gain confidence each week. We will learn a lot from this experience and use it to be a better team in the future.”
