Unoccupied building total loss in LaCrosse fire

Just before 1:00 a.m. on December 19, crews from Alachua County Fire Rescue, Gainesville Fire Rescue, and LaCrosse Fire Department responded to a report of a building fire at 12720 NW CR 231. Crews arrived to find a single-story wood framed house approximately 50% engulfed in flames. The house was unoccupied and being used for storage. Crews were able to quickly knock down the fire, but the building was a total loss. The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental.
