Voter registration deadline extended through 7 p.m. today

Florida Secretary of State Laurel M. Lee announced that Florida’s voter registration deadline for the 2020 General Election is extended through 7 p.m. today (October 6).

According to Lee, any applications received on Florida’s Online Voter Registration system by 7 p.m. today, October 6, 2020, will be included in the registration for the November 3, 2020, General Election. The online voter registration portal can be found at RegisterToVoteFlorida.gov.

Additionally, any applications received through the following channels today will also be accepted: 

  • County Supervisors of Elections Offices
  • Local Tax Collector’s Offices
  • Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles’ Driver’s License Offices
  • Paper applications postmarked by today, October 6, 2020

The Alachua County Supervisor of Elections and the Alachua County Tax Collector’s offices will remain open until 7 p.m. today to allow voters time to come to their offices to register to vote.
