Waldo man dies in motorcycle accident

Daniel Russell, 34, of Waldo, died around 3:35 a.m. on February 12. According to a release from Florida Highway Patrol, Russell was traveling southbound on U.S. Highway 301 when he left the roadway, entering the ditch on the western side of the road. There his motorcycle collided with a culvert, became airborne, and came to final rest in the southern entrance of Mugshots Bar. Russell was found in the ditch north of the southern entrance to Mugshots Bar. An investigation is pending.
