Walmart employee arrested for recording video under woman’s dress

Staff report

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Henry Gomez, 24, was arrested yesterday and charged with two counts of video voyeurism after allegedly using a phone to take video under another employee’s dress.

Gomez, who worked at the Walmart on NW 23rd Street, reportedly went into the store’s optical shop on both May 10 and May 13 and asked the optician to show him some glasses frames. While the optician was reaching for frames, Gomez allegedly positioned a cell phone under her dress while pretending to look at lower shelves or tie his shoes; he allegedly did this several times during each visit. He also allegedly put the phone on the floor at an angle in an attempt to capture video under the victim’s dress and also placed the phone in his lap for the same purpose.

The victim reportedly became aware of the placement of the phone and provided video of the incidents to Walmart security staff and law enforcement officers.

Gomez has been in Alachua County for five years and has no criminal history. Judge Walter Green set bail at $100,000.

Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

  • Future rapist. What did he think he was going to see? I hope she had on clean panties cause you know the cops are going to watch the evidence.

  • Jerry Lee Lewis would be proud…of the haircut.

He’s quite the pervert. Maybe they’ll ban him from owning a mobile device… doubt it. Some would claim that’s harsh and inhumane punishment.

Wasn’t there a prominent public official several years ago caught doing something like this? Maybe he’ll get that legal counsel.

    • He looks like he’s related to someone named Gilberto Dominguez 🤣 😂

      • True. But I was born here. And I’m sure I’ve forgotten more than you’ve ever learned. 352-327-6056. We can discuss in person.

  • Hmm, 4 felony convictions, then threatening someone with a knife gets you $30K bail, but take an upskirt video, with no priors gets you $100K. Somethings not quite right.

    • We all know that blacks get special treatment. It’s out of “compassion”.

    • I got arrested for something I did not do with no priors not even a speeding ticket and my bail was $300,000.00. I have seen many murderers get less of a bail!! That was in Alachua County! When asked by the judge did I understand my charges I said no, because I did not do what they said I did and I got elbowed and told not to ask or say anything!! She asked me a question and I was going to answer her. Why do the judges ask you if you understand your charges if you are not allowed to say anything but YES?? I got out 9 days later because I was innocent. You are GUILTY until proven innocent! I was all over TV 20 – thank you very much!! For something I did not even do. I can’t wait to move out of Florida.

      • BYE, DON’T LET THE DOOR HIT YOU ON THE WAY OUT. it’s funny how everyone who doesn’t like Florida’s way threatens to move but they never leave. Do what you say you’re going to do please.

  • Lookit that mug!!🤢🤮 you mean she wasn’t into him or his haircut!?

  • The judges just judge on what mood their in. If they had a bad morning, you’re screwed. If they had a good morning then your golden. We have happy morning judges in this town.

  • What a perv. Drop him off in the Everglades and let nature deal with him.

  • With hair like that I’d expect him to be shopping at the Waldo Road location.

  • Every time I go to that Walmart, I start to wonder if Saco was right about 10 percent of the residents here needing translation services.

  • UF student charged with raping a minor on campus gets the same bail amount. These judges are incompetent af
