GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Sunday and Monday’s highs will continue to be well above normal, but temperatures should drop after Tuesday, and highs are forecast to be below normal by the end of the week. There is no chance of significant rain on Sunday; rain chances pick up Tuesday afternoon/evening, with a good chance of rain on Wednesday. The tropics are quiet, but forecasters are watching an area in the southern Gulf of Mexico that may develop into a storm in the next 9-15 days.
