GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Get pumped up, Gainesville! Raising Cane’s opens the doors to its newest restaurant on Wednesday, May 27, at 3433 S.W. Archer Road. The award-winning restaurant brand is ready to bring its hand-battered, cooked-to-order Chicken Fingers, Craveable Cane’s Sauce, premium crinkle-cut fries, buttery Cane’s Toast, and coleslaw made in-house daily to the community.
This is the first Cane’s in Gainesville with a double-lane drive-thru for customers on-the-go. Inside the new restaurant, customers will find a vibrant showcase of Raising Cane’s memorabilia celebrating Gainesville pride, from local high school and university traditions to iconic landmarks. The décor also highlights local arts, culture, and community traditions, reflecting Raising Cane’s commitment to making every visit feel like a hometown celebration.
Before doors open at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 27, Raising Cane’s encourages customers to secure a place in line as the party will start early with an array of can’t-miss giveaways and fun for the community, including:
- A “Lucky 20” drawing to award 20 customers (age 13 and older) with free Cane’s for a Year! Entries are accepted from 8 to 9 a.m., with the drawing held shortly after. Customers must be present to win.
- A Cane’s branded trucker hat and a free Box Combo Card, valid on a future visit, for the first 100 Combos purchased in-restaurant. Limit one hat and card per Combo purchased—while supplies last.
- Major Cane’s kudos for Customer No. 1 in line in the form of a one-of-a-kind gift basket and a big welcome greeting from all the crew.
- A ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring the Greater Gainesville Chamber of Commerce beginning at approximately 9 a.m.
- A $1,000 check presentation to the Humane Society of North Central Florida.
- A DJ spinning tunes from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- A special appearance by the University of Florida mascot, Alberta, to entertain the crowd from 8 to 10 a.m.

The new Raising Cane’s is open Sunday through Thursday from 10 to 1 a.m. with extended hours Friday and Saturday from 10 to 2 a.m., because it always the right time for Cane’s.
