16-year-old charged as adult for gun possession, aggravated assault, and car theft

Keishawn Xavier Jelks, 16, has been charged as an adult in connection with a May 30 incident in which he allegedly threatened to shoot a woman, stole her car, and also possessed methamphetamine and drug equipment.
According to the charging document, Jelks has been charged with possessing a firearm although he was previously convicted as a juvenile of an act that would be a felony if committed by an adult; he is also charged with threatening to harm a woman with the gun and stealing her car.
When he was arrested, he was allegedly in possession of methamphetamine, a baggie for packaging drugs, and a scale.
Jelks is being held on $171,000 bond.
