18-year-old arrested after allegedly running from officers with gun, hiding in crawl space, and trying to hide the gun
Staff report
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Kente Seth Bradley, 18, was arrested early this morning after an officer reportedly saw him tucking a pistol into his waistband. Bradley allegedly ran and was found hiding in a crawl space under a house occupied by students; he allegedly ran again and was apprehended in a wooded area. The pistol was reportedly found under the house.
At about 1:55 a.m. on November 10, a Gainesville Police Department officer saw two subjects tucking handguns into their waistbands. The officer reported that both subjects fled, and he chased after Bradley, giving him repeated commands to stop. Bradley reportedly ran into a residential neighborhood, and the officer lost sight of him when he jumped a fence.
A K-9 team found him hiding in a crawl space under a house in the 100 block of NW 3rd Avenue, which is reportedly occupied by several college students. Bradley allegedly crawled out of the opposite end of the crawl space and ran again, with officers again chasing him. The officers reportedly lost sight of him for a short period of time before finding him running through a wooded area and taking him into custody.
A search of the crawl space reportedly produced a fully-loaded Glock 20 Gen 3, concealed in a bag and buried in dirt.
Post Miranda, Bradley reportedly said he had taken the pistol from a family member’s safe without their knowledge; he said he ran because he knew he had the gun and that he has a “fight or flight” mentality and would run again.
The other subject was not named in the arrest report and was not located.
Bradley has been charged with armed burglary of a dwelling, tampering with evidence, possession of a concealed firearm during the commission of a felony, and resisting an officer without violence. He has no adult criminal convictions; his juvenile history will not be available until the First Appearance paperwork is published on Tuesday afternoon. Judge Adam Lee set bail at $50,000.

‘Stole” it out of the family safe? I seriously doubt it.
They don’t need to schedule that “”Run With the Cops” event at Santa Fe.
This article shows “Run From the Cops” is available 24/7 365 days a year.
Well since he openly admitted he’s a flight risk who would openly panic and run from the police again he should be kept in jail for as long as possible.
Same old same old, different day.
Maybe that courthouse statue should be this felon running from the cops with a gun in his hand and a k9 about to bite his ass.
A plack that reads; felon with a gun and you’re done..10, 20, life!
How convenient the courts are hiding juvenile grooming by scummy public lawyers now… “ his juvenile history will not be available until the First Appearance paperwork is published on Tuesday afternoon. ”.
