18-year-old arrested for allegedly slamming another detainee onto concrete floor at Juvenile Detention Facility

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Jake Fletcher, 18, was moved to the Alachua County Jail yesterday and charged with battery on a detainee in a detention facility after allegedly slamming another detainee onto the concrete floor and then kneeling on his mouth.
At about 6:20 p.m., Fletcher and the victim were arguing in their dorm room at the Juvenile Detention Center when Fletcher allegedly picked up the victim and slammed him on the concrete floor. The victim reportedly said that Fletcher then put his knee in his mouth, causing the victim’s mouth to bleed. The responding Gainesville Police Department officer reported that the victim sustained injuries to his forehead and bottom lip.
Post Miranda, Fletcher reportedly said that the victim threw a carton of milk on him and that he responded by picking up the victim and slamming him on the floor. Fletcher said the victim pushed him in the chest while he was on top of him, then he punched the victim in the lip with a closed fist.
Fletcher has a juvenile criminal history; Judge Meshon Rawls set bail at $10,000.

If he is 18, why is he in a Juvenile Detention Facility?
This is a allergy to the laundry soap that is used for inmate issued clothing. Obviously he has been wearing a Tshirt under his usual inmate uniform shirt.
