Alachua County 2025 Eco Chase Challenge will begin in March

ALACHUA COUNTY, Fla. – Alachua County residents, get ready for the 2025 Eco Chase Challenge – The Race Against Waste! Don’t miss your chance to win over $2,000 in cash and prizes. Gather your team and join us for an exciting multi-month, scavenger hunt competition, designed to encourage waste reduction, proper recycling, and conservation awareness. Participants will discover the many resources and community partners that make Alachua County a great, eco-friendly place to live.
The Challenge is open to all Alachua County residents, with a maximum of 50 teams (with up to 5 linked smartphones per team). Each team will compete to earn points by submitting photos and videos of themselves at various checkpoints, answering trivia questions, attending community events, and completing various Missions to stay a step ahead of their competition. The Challenge will begin in March, and Missions will continue to be revealed through May 2025.
There is no registration fee. Participants must register online. Registration will remain open until the maximum of 50 teams is met but early registration is encouraged.
