On Wednesday October 27, 2021, at 5 p.m. at the Gainesville/Alachua County Senior Recreation Center (5701 N.W. 34th Blvd, Gainesville), Alachua County will host a community forum to have a broad discussion between Alachua County Commission Chair Ken Cornell and the Mayors of Alachua County’s nine municipalities.
The agenda topics:
- General Discussion
- Legislative items for the 2022 State Legislative Session
“The purpose of the forum is for the County and our cities to engage, share, and discuss items of mutual interest,” said Chair Cornell. “I look forward to hearing from our cities and sharing some of the County’s accomplishments, goals, and challenges.”
If they show up, the mayors of Gainesville, Lacrosse, Alachua, High Springs, Newberry and Archer all need to be asked “Yes or No, does your city approve of joining Little Timmy’s John Birch Conservative Republican Fascist Whites Only Utopia of secessionist ‘Springs County’?” Only Yes or No answers permitted. Get them on the record.
Bigger question…Why only a yes or no answer? Worried they may express their dissatisfaction under current $o€i@li$t’ policies?
Oh I see the point in your demand. You want to silence the voices of potentially differing opinions. Reminds me of what the DOJ is attempting to do to parents.
