GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Alachua County Commission and the Alachua County Children’s Trust will conduct a joint meeting on Monday, April 21, 2025, at 4 p.m. The meeting is in the Grace Knight Conference Room on the second floor of the Alachua County Administration Building (12 SE 1st St., Gainesville).
The meeting can be viewed on Cox Channel 12, the AC TV app (Apple TV, Amazon Fire, Roku), the county’s Facebook and YouTube sites, and the county’s Video on Demand website.

They don’t seem to be crooked, just completely unnecessary.
The city/county should handle items 1 and 2. The police/sheriff should handle bullet point 3. The school board should handle the 4th item.
Gotta wonder why this trust even exists….oh yeah, the mindless voters approved this middleman organization in 2018. I hope they voted for this unnecessary entity because they were deceived and not because they actually believed it was needed. All they do is scrape off the top while avoiding proper oversight. Redundant redundancy.
