Alachua County Public Schools hosting job fair for teachers

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Alachua County Public Schools is hosting a job fair for prospective teachers on Saturday, April 13, and district contracts will be offered to qualified candidates on the spot. The district is recruiting teachers for all grade levels and subjects, and career changers are welcome.Â
The fair will be held from 9 a.m. to noon at Gainesville High School, which is located at 1900 NW 13th Street. While it’s not required and walkups will be welcome, candidates are also encouraged to register at https://fl02219191.schoolwires.net/Page/31148. They are also encouraged to upload or bring their resumes.
Principals from ACPS schools and district administrators will be on hand to interview teacher candidates and provide help with certification and applications.
Information about benefits will also be provided. Those benefits include free high-quality health insurance for most individual employees, higher pay for previous teaching experience and advanced degrees, extra pay for additional duties, mentoring for new teachers, and other supports and incentives.
