Alachua County Supervisor of Elections Kim Barton recognized by Florida League of Women Voters for service to voters
Press release from Alachua County Supervisor of Elections
ALACHUA COUNTY, Fla. — The League of Women Voters of Florida presented Alachua County Supervisor of Elections Kim A. Barton with an award in recognition of her service to Alachua County voters in the 2022 election cycle.
The League of Women Voters is a more than 100-year-old nonpartisan political organization. Members of the Alachua County League of Women Voters met with Supervisor Barton at the Supervisor of Elections Office in Gainesville yesterday afternoon to present her with the award and speak about recent changes in election law and the upcoming 2024 election cycle.
“I am very grateful to receive this award from the League of Women Voters of Florida,” Supervisor of Elections Kim A. Barton said. “My entire office and our election workers should be very proud of the hard work and dedication they put forth last year. As we prepare for the 2024 Presidential Election cycle, we will continue to diligently serve Alachua County voters and residents.”
Hope she didn’t hurt herself while she was there holding that heavy award up. There might be another lawsuit in the future.
“The League of Women Voters is a more than 100-year-old nonpartisan political organization.”
Now you know that’s a bunch of BS. Where’s the award for registering convicted felons at the county jail?
lol.. nonpartisan, why don’t they go and try to pull the other 1 as well.
Is the League of Women voters part of or supportive off Fat Harvey and Puffitchson’s Lawsuit against GRU Customers and New GRU Governance?
Are they kidding? She is one of the worst examples for this. “Nonpartisan”…right…
Indeed, why don’t they call it like it truthfully is ‘League of Women Democrat Voters’? It’s a group of radical black women mixed with white women who are infected with white guilt. Nonpartisan, no way..
These women are almost all Democrats I’m sure, and for that reason I can see why they would absolutely love Kim Barton.
What a joke. Why is she getting an award for doing her job and not doing a good job at that?
More evidence the LWV abandoned being “nonpartisan” ages ago.

I don’t think Arreola’s roommate or longtime companion or whatever he is should continue to be in charge of the tech side of counting the votes. Especially since he doesn’t have a degree. Who knows if he really knows what the heck he is doing based on his “experience” instead of real training. I don’t trust him, personally.
