Alachua County woman charged with 77 felonies related to possessing and distributing child pornography

On January 26, an Alachua County Sheriff’s Office detective was assigned a CyberTip regarding multiple conversations on X between December 14, 2025, and January 1, 2026. The tip included a photo of a nude pre-pubescent female child, and X also provided other media files, posts, and chats from the suspect account.

The suspect account reportedly engaged in numerous chats that discussed sharing images and videos of children, and the suspect account, who claimed to be an adult female, frequently stated that she had no age limits. The account reportedly sent images and videos of child pornography, including at least two pictures of a preschool child that she identified as someone she had access to in real life.

The detective was immediately concerned for the welfare of the child and served an emergency subpoena for the IP addresses associated with the chats; the internet account was reportedly owned by a relative of Johnson’s, but a number of adults were associated with the address, so the detective could not narrow the investigation down to a single suspect.

Comparison of lists of phone numbers associated with several mobile IP addresses produced a single phone number that appeared on each list, and the name on that account was “Trinity Johnson.”

The detective made contact with Johnson at a relative’s home on January 29, and she was interviewed at the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office.

Post Miranda, Johnson reportedly said that she is “into a lot of kinks that normal people would look down on”; when asked about the age of the youngest child in the photos she had sent, she reportedly said “seven,” but she later changed it to “four.”

Johnson reportedly admitted to sending child pornography 20-30 times, with images of about 10 different children. When asked about the preschool child, Johnson reportedly denied having or sending any photos of the child; when she continued to insist that she didn’t know anything about the images of the preschool child, law enforcement left the room.

A short time later, Johnson reportedly knocked on the door and said she remembered taking a photo of the child for the purpose of showing the child’s mother some redness under the child’s diaper.

As the detective continued to ask questions, Johnson eventually admitted to sending the photo out multiple times in chats, but she said it was because “when she’s in the mood, a photo is a photo.” Johnson eventually claimed ownership of the photos of the preschool child and said that she took them “because she had the opportunity.”

Johnson has been charged with 64 counts of possession of child pornography, 10 counts of soliciting child pornography, two counts of creating child pornography, and one count of unlawful use of a two-way communications device. Judge Meshon Rawls set bail at $1,925,000.
