Alachua man arrested for stalking former girlfriend
Staff report
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Chase Brandt Terrell, 43, was arrested yesterday for stalking after allegedly continuing to contact a former girlfriend despite multiple requests to stop.
An Alachua County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to the former girlfriend’s house on Saturday and noted in her report that this was the third call from the victim in five days.
On January 6, a deputy responded to the victim’s house after she received multiple calls and messages from Terrell; before the deputy left, the victim reportedly blocked Terrell on her phone and on social media, and a deputy spoke with Terrell and reported that Terrell agreed he would not contact the victim again.
After the incident on January 8, the victim reportedly sent Terrell a message, specifically asking him to stop contacting her and to stay away from her; she told him she would call the police if he contacted her again.
On January 10, the victim reportedly started receiving messages from Terrell on Venmo, asking her for money to compensate him for gifts he had given her during their relationship. The deputy documented eight messages, asking for amounts between $1 and $510, that included threats to show up and collect the money at her home, her work, or another location where he knew she would be with her child.
The deputy recorded a phone call with Terrell in which Terrell reportedly admitted he had contacted the victim through text message, Facebook Messenger, and Venmo. He also reportedly admitted contacting the victim’s mother.
According to the arrest report, Terrell has previous convictions for violating stalking injunctions in 2008 and 2022 in Orange County. Judge Craig DeThomasis set bail at $1,500.

All you boomers should contact him and see if he can do anything about the potholes your genius generation has deemed one of the most pressing issues in this nation. He seems rather persistent. Maybe he could use all that focus and energy on a matter important to boomers.
Like getting you back to Honduras
Another Reich wingnuts who can’t take no for a answer
He can stalk her with those free phone calls in jail if he’s man enough to get a phone call in.
He has previous convictions for violating stalking injunctions- so you give him a $1500 bail? It’s like you want it to escalate. Circut 8 it’s on you if he goes after her.
Maybe I don’t know the whole story but it just sounds like a bad break up to me. I’m his neighbor and the way the police showed up at his home in our quiet neighborhood I thought there was far worse things going on. My kids are fearing for their safety and he called someone 3 times within 5 days ? Okkkk
That bail is too low. Keep him put away for a good while. She ought to get a Gunn to defend herself.

Once a stalker….always a stalker…..time to cut off his stalk.
WTF does he work and where at? Let’s all call his employer and threaten to boycott them if he’s not fired. Unless this is another Bidenomics unemployed white male victim of DEI, of course. 🤡💩
There are shootings every other day here and this is news ? A few years ago someone tried to break into my home and when I called aso they said ” call back in an hour if it’s still an issue” This does not track
