Alachua Police Department hosting Coffee with a Cop on Wednesday morning
October 1, 2022

Press release from Alachua Police Department
ALACHUA, Fla. – On Wednesday, October 5, 2022, the Alachua Police Department (APD) will be holding Coffee with a Cop at the Alachua McDonald’s (16018 NW US HWY 441, Alachua, FL 32615) from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Attendees will be able to enjoy a free cup of coffee, courtesy of McDonald’s.
Det. Thomas Stanfield, APD Public Information Officer, said, “This is an amazing event that allows our officers and staff to really interact with the great citizens of Alachua on a more personal one-on-one level outside of the typical law enforcement duties.”
What a good idea! Let us see cops as people and let them do the same. They have a job where they see the bad side of people, and that can kind of color their thoughts about people in general and ditto for us. Anything that helps us look at each other as just people is a good thing.
And thank you APD, you do a tough job well. God bless.
