APD seeks help identifying suspects in June 13 robbery of Brown’s Country Buffet

ALACHUA, Fla. – Alachua Police Department is asking the public for assistance with identifying two suspects who robbed Brown’s Country Buffet on June 13.

The burglary occurred at approximately 10:05 p.m. on June 13, 2026. Two suspects entered the rear of the business (14423 NW US Highway 441) with their faces covered and wearing gloves. Once inside, they went to the cash register area, where they began breaking into registers and the main money box. The suspects also used a Ryobi circular saw with a red Milwaukee blade to cut into a larger safe.
Suspect 1 was wearing a black long-sleeve shirt, black pants, white Adidas Lite Racer Adapt 4.0 running shoes, black gloves, and had his face covered with a tied teal or turquoise blue shirt.
Suspect 2 was wearing a dark blue long-sleeve shirt, black jeans, light blue underwear, white gloves, black shoes with what appears to possibly say “ASAP” on the side, a camo backpack, and had his face covered with a black shirt.
The suspects used a bright yellow pry bar with visible usage marks to force entry and break into the registers. Orange-gripped wire cutters were also observed. The suspects cut the wire to the interior video system at approximately 10:07 p.m. and later fled from the rear of the business at approximately 10:09 p.m.
Detectives are asking anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the area of Brown’s Country Buffet, NW 125th Street, NW 150th Avenue, Alachua Forest, or the Alachua Hills neighborhood between approximately 9:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on June 13, 2026, to contact law enforcement. Investigators are also seeking any residential or business surveillance footage from that timeframe.

Great planning on the perps’ part — right up until they revealed their blue underwear. Issue a BOLO for anyone wearing Adidas, blue underwear, and not wearing a belt. Some might have claimed profiling if it were a different brand.
Great pictures, thank you for putting this information out there. Your description of what happened is accurate under the term ‘burglary’. The description of a ‘robbery’ is inaccurate, no persons were present in the business when the unlawful entry and theft occurred. No one was robbed, defined as the unlawful taking of money or property with force, violence, or fear; the business was burglarized.
The Adidas Lite Racer Adapt 4.0 running shoes are some of my favorite walking/running shoes.
If they were stealing the food, I’d say it was Mayor Harvey Ward.
Inside job. Someone has been wearing those ADIDAS regularly.
It would be very likely that a robbery at Browns would be met with lawful self defense. I could think of a million places that would be less dangerous to rob. I would bet 30-50% of the patrons would be armed. Oh, nevermind. This was a burglary.
