Archer man arrested for attempting to hit man on lawnmower with pickup truck
Staff report
ALACHUA COUNTY, Fla. – Zachary William Emino, 26, of Archer, was arrested yesterday on a warrant for allegedly backing his pickup truck toward a man on a lawnmower, narrowly missing the man and destroying the lawn mower.
At about 11:55 a.m. on September 11, an Alachua County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a home in the Turnberry Lake subdivision, where the victim, who works for a landscaping company, was mowing a lawn. The victim said that he and Emino had a brief conversation, which he ended because he was at work, and then Emino backed his pickup truck toward the lawnmower at about 25-30 mph. The victim said he jumped off the lawnmower just before the truck hit it; the owner of the business told the deputy that the lawnmower, valued at $27,000, was a total loss.
Emino has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and felony property damage. He has no criminal history, but he was arrested in Levy County in July 2024 after allegedly pointing a shotgun at another man and pinning him up against a gate with his truck; the charges were later dropped. Judge Kristine Van Vorst set bail at $75,000.
Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Why?
That’s must have been a convoluted conversation.
Drugs? Jilted lover? Was the lawnmower man caught grazing in the “wrong” grass?
This is one stupid SOB no criminal history now charged with felony how dumb can you be? He needs prison time.
May not have a history, but has a case in Levy:
