ALACHUA COUNTY, Fla. – A 48-year-old Archer man was killed in a head-on crash on SW Williston Road on Sunday evening.
At about 6:50 p.m. on November 3, a sedan driven by the Archer man and a pickup truck driven by a 61-year-old Spring Hill man collided head-on; the release from Florida Highway Patrol did not provide any information about which vehicle was in the wrong lane or the events leading up to the collision.
The Archer man, who was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt, was killed in the crash. The Spring Hill man was wearing a seatbelt and sustained minor injuries.
Seatbelts really do save lives… So sad for the (possibly avoidable) death of this man and his loss to his loved ones. And so sorry for what EMS workers have to deal with, whenever these awful crashes occur… Buckle up, everyone! And don’t pass on these county roads unless it is 100% safe to do so. It isn’t worth the seconds you might save…
