  • City Commission, “Okay, that’s enough already. Time to ban motorcycles.”

      • Sure Lacking Common Sense, just because you likely voted for the idiots who do nothing more than make knee jerk reactions and waste money doesn’t make you a rocket scientist, in fact, if you did vote for them my intro to you would be far more appropriate.
Speed tables on University Ave because the City can’t convince law enforcement to enforce the laws. Maybe they should get the Ambassadors to help people use the crosswalks. How’s all their other “feel good ideas” working?

        • This is so easy! Let’s just ban, yet another, ignorant statement such as yours…..lol.

          • Still lacking common sense: people like yourself hate it when reality slaps them in the face. Good thing we have freedom of speech from idiots like yourself.
            Despite your efforts.

            Now that was easy.

  • The archer man is genuinely one of the nicest people I’ve ever met, the amount of disrespect towards him in this comment section already when he was not at fault for the crash is absolutely atrocious, please consider mental help if you’re posting those comments.

    • Which comment disrespected him?
The young man on the motorcycle may have been passing legally but one of the things I learned driving was to make sure there was plenty of time/distance to complete the action of passing. If not, someone’s likely to get hurt or in this case killed. Often times, intersections are no passing zones. I wasn’t there and all I have to go on is the report that indicated he was passing legally and I’m fairly confident the truck driver was making a legal turn as well.
      That’s not disrespectful, that’s a logical conclusion.

      • Lawfully ,i believe that means the truck did not have his turn signal on. RIP nightrider

  • Lawfully pass? The article reports the southbound pickup was hit by a motorcycle that was in the southbound lane going north. The pickup in its own lane was the true victim here.

  • What a sad, sad, accident. Prayers for the family of the 19 year old, and for the truck driver who I’m sure is having a rough time of it even though it was an accident. I think a little empathy all round would be better than trying to assign blame.
