Arrest made in January 24 shooting

BY JENNIFER CABRERA

Joshua Tyler Williams, 28, has been arrested on charges of attempted first degree murder, armed burglary, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Williams was arrested after a warrant was issued in connection with a January 24 shooting in the 5000 block of SW 63rd Court. The shooting sent a male victim to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The charges filed in the case allege that Williams attempted to kill Andrew Jonathan Morrison “with a premeditated design” by shooting him but failed. He is also alleged to have entered Morrison’s home without permission with the intent to shoot him and was armed at the time with a pistol. As a convicted felon, Williams has been charged with illegally possessing a concealed firearm.

Williams is being held on $1,250,000 bail.

Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

  • Why is this guy still wearing a chain around his neck
In his mugshot? That can be used as a weapon.
There should be no bond for this guy & 10,20, life.
There should be no leniency with felons & guns.

  • it is funny how each of you pass judgment and do not have any form of evidence that this is accurate in how the police are trying to tell it. he did not shoot anyone at all . he doesn’t own nor carry a gun. now if there was a physical fight then i would say yes maybe but he doesn’t resort to using guns . you can not always believe what a report says has any one of you looked up the supposing victim of this…. hmmmmm probably not. god forbid one of you are arrested for something you didnt do and then those out here make you guilty before all the evidence is even heard. grow up seriously
