ASO investigates drowning incident in southwest Gainesville

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – A woman was found unresponsive at a pool at a home in southwest Gainesville and has been transported to a local hospital.

According to a release from the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office, deputies, detectives, and crime scene investigators are on the scene of a home in the 7000 block of SW 79th Drive after responding to a call about an adult female who was found unresponsive in a pool. The female was transported to an area hospital by rescue personnel.

An investigation into this incident is active and ongoing, and no further information has been released.
