ASO investigating shooting death of Newberry High School senior

NEWBERRY, Fla. – Last night at 10:00 p.m., Alachua County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the area of 100 NW 253rd Street regarding the report of a shooting. Deputies arrived and located an adult male suffering from a gunshot(s) wound. Deputies rendered medical aid until the victim could be transported by Alachua County Fire Rescue. The victim was later pronounced dead at an area hospital.
Newberry High School Principal James Sheppard sent an email to NHS families this afternoon that said, “It is with great sadness that I must share a tragedy within our Panther Family as one of our 12th-grade students passed away this weekend.” Counselors will be available at the school on Monday for students who need support.

Actually the 12th grader wasn’t involved with drugs or gangs the shooting had nothing to do with him at all. It was drive by shooting where he lived with his mom and siblings one being a newborn.
Ain’t that the truth… For those who don’t know, the rules of the hood prioritorize loyalty, no snitching, and see something, say nothing. Helping the police investigate is the very last thing these people want to be involved in.

You say you have never been one to speculate…uh but you are. I am going to say one thing to anyone who wants to stick their nose where it doesn’t belong. I knew the victim very well. I taught him in high school. These are my babies and when you start messing with them you will unleash the dragon. I spoke to the other person who was standing right beside him when it happened (along with the babies that lived there.) I know these kids’ hearts and you don’t. I will support and defend them and love them unconditionally and always. Quit speculating and judging. Oh wait. You don’t do that.

Well lets see here, home or subject was targeted in a DRIVE BY SHOOTING! Isn’t that a gang culture thing? or maybe i’m wrong and it was just a uber eats driver that didn’t get a tip and thought murdering someone was his only other option.

Ghetto culture is the lack of fathers in the home. It’s the idolization of rappers that glorify drugs and murder. Not that hard to connect the dots there big guy.

Most school shooters that are kids have had mental issues or cult brainwashing caused by culture. Whether it is from disfunctional parents who should have never been never parents, the internet, video games, social cultish groups, etc. Some kids have been raised to a fantasy that everyone is a winner, no one loses, and world revolves are their needs only. When they get of dose of reality they can not handle it and they fall back on what they see on the internet, social media, and TV. There are way too many TV series that glorify crime families and gang violence.
I do not understand these hateful comments. We do know a student has passed. Regardless of the circumstances, his family and friends are mourning their loss.
What ever the circumstances, we all need prayer, and remember who DIED ON THE CROSS, (TREE), AND PAID FOR OUR SINS.

1. If this student attended Newberry City Commission Free Evangelical Conservative Freedom School instead of Alachua County Public School, would there be any difference?

No, and No.
Whether before or after Newberry secedes into its own Conservative Utopia, this young man would be just as dead. Secession will not prevent this, but the Newberry folks will have fun patting themselves on the back cuz they “owned them there libs in Gainesville.” Sad all around.

I am waiting for more details. I am curious if he is the son of Jermaine L. Godbolt who is currently in the county jail. But it still doesn’t change facts that most young black males are killed by other black males over stupid things like gang colors, dope, girls, and name calling. It still doesn’t change the facts that the majority of the shootings take place in the eastern part of the county or section 8 areas.
