ASO investigating Verdant Cove shooting

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Alachua County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to calls of shots fired at Verdant Cove at about 7 p.m. last night and found several shell casings on the ground. Deputies also found multiple vehicles and residences with bullet holes. The shots are believed to have been fired from a vehicle.
An ASO spokesman said witnesses have not been fully cooperative and the investigation is ongoing.

Until that community wants peace and male role models for its children, these shootings will continue. Refusal to join the rest of society has consequences.

Once again this is the community I live within, upon finding out and then listening to the scanner, why hasn’t the rest of the story been released? Right down to taking someone into custody? Maybe because both ASo and gpd had to be involved with two places? I don’t know but this shooting crap is getting out of hand, kids shouldn’t have to worry about if they can play or not, I do not allow my kids to run outside here at the complex for this reason we go elsewhere.
Of course now everyone will blame law enforcement for letting it happen and not arresting anyone. And people wonder why nothing is ever achieved in these neighborhoods and crime keeps going up. Just keep putting up with it and stay mute, so you can have more balloon releases and memorials. Let us know when you had enough or no more family left.

I was actually delivering a door dash order and saw the police finishing up and bring the evidence bags to the forensics van! I was waiting to see if anything got posted about it.
I would refuse to deliver there.
