Attorney General James Uthmeier announces launch of new portal to combat violent extremism
Press release from the Office of Attorney General James Uthmeier
ORLANDO, Fla.—Today, Attorney General Uthmeier joined Commissioner of Education Anastasios Kamoutsas at Valencia College to announce the launch of new tool for citizens to help identify and combat politically-motivated violence.
The secure online portal allows the public to submit screenshots, videos, and other evidence of threats of violent extremism directly to Attorney General Uthmeier’s Office of Statewide Prosecution. Submissions may be anonymous. Prosecutors will review each report and, where appropriate, prosecute those responsible for the threat. This portal is not intended for emergencies. Citizens facing an immediate threat should call 911.
“The idea of someone being assassinated for peacefully opposing such radical ideals is vile and anti-American,” said Attorney General James Uthmeier. “Threats of political violence will not be tolerated in Florida. That is why today we are launching a new tool, simply named the Combat Violent Extremism Portal, to report acts or threats of political violence.”
“Any individual who makes a threat that violates Florida law will be dealt with immediately,” said Statewide Prosecutor Brad McVay. “We look forward to working closely with our law enforcement partners to enhance the efforts to safeguard the Free State of Florida from political violence.”
“Any educator who makes vile, despicable comments celebrating and encouraging violence in schools will be investigated and held accountable,” said Commissioner of Education Anastasios Kamoutsas. “Thank you, Attorney General James Uthmeier, for supporting these efforts and helping us ensure Florida’s students have the highest quality teachers leading their instruction.”
The announcement follows a troubling rise in politically motivated attacks nationwide. Federal reports show assaults on ICE officers have surged by more than 1000% over the past year. Conservative leader and generational icon Charlie Kirk was recently assassinated, with online threats and celebrations of his murder spreading in the aftermath.
The launch of the Combat Violent Extremism Portal reflects Florida’s commitment to proactive prevention. By equipping Floridians with a direct channel to prosecutors, the state is strengthening its ability to identify credible threats, disrupt plots before violence occurs, and ensure accountability for those who attempt to endanger lives or undermine public safety.

Sadly, I don’t think right-wingers (who are by far the most frequent and most deadly perpetrators of political violence compared to left-wingers) are going to start self-reporting their evil deeds to this portal.

It’s easy to say that when you don’t classify things as left wing. How many were killed during the George floyd riots? Was that classified as left wing or is it that “we still don’t know what the motive was” for burning down multiple areas in multiple cities all over the US?
The problem with “progressives” is that they don’t want to have a conversation, they just was to make you shut up … by any means necessary … as we all witnessed over the last year or so.
“The problem with ‘progressives’ is that they don’t want to have a conversation, they just was to make you shut up … by any means necessary … as we all witnessed over the last year or so.”
Huh, I haven’t witnessed that at all. Can you provide sources, please? All I’ve seen in the last year are fascist wannabes consolidating their power and attempting to tighten their stranglehold on democracy and authentic American ideals.
Also, how many people do YOU know of having been killed during the George Floyd riots? Again, please provide your sources.
So now it only counts if I personally knew people that were murdered?? The “study” you continue to quote has been called into question specifically for not including any of the 2017 riots or the 2020 riots as left wing. The folks on the left are the ones shooting people, the ones on the left are the ones throwing Molotov cocktails at peaceful Jews who are asking that hostages be released, and it was left wing folks who have either attempted an assassination or actually did assassinate a person. One of the yahoos just got sent to prison yesterday for trying to kill the President. On top of it all, the leftists celebrate the people doing it. They gave millions to an assassin of a CEO, and the assassin is already a millionaire. So maybe step out of the bubble you live in “Iggy” as you are spewing propaganda and outright lies.
“Multiple sources reported at least 19 deaths related to the George Floyd protests in the United States between late May and early June 2020. A non-profit tracking political unrest, ACLED, later reported at least 25 Americans were killed in protests and related political violence throughout 2020. ” Via Google AI
See that took all of 2 seconds to look up.
The study you keep sharing a link to … that has been questioned specifically because it does NOT count any of these victims deaths as “left wing”. They also didn’t count the Paul Palozzi attack as left wing event though the attacker’s facebook was full of left wing beliefs. As I said earlier it’s easy to call people more violent when the academics put their blinders on for left wing violent acts.
If you haven’t see the left wing increase in violent acts you might want to step out of your bubble and get off of blue sky once in a while.
Oh look, another crazed leftist just shot 3 people at an ICE facility in Dallas. Still got your blinders on Iggy?
Oh, the authorities have already identified the person as a leftist? But the person shot detainees instead of camp guards? Interesting.
How many of the approx. two dozen people killed in the George Floyd protests were killed by trigger-happy cops, do we know? Also, gosh, given the ENTIRE CITIES that were burned and pillaged (lol), I thought it was going to be HUNDREDS of people killed (not that any is acceptable in principle, mind you). If it had been right-wing gun-nuts doing those protests, though, I’m sure the number would’ve been HUGE.
By the way, were the 2018 Pittsburgh Synagogue attack, the 2019 El Paso mall killings, and the 2022 Buffalo market attack perpetrated by leftists? Let me know. I’ll wait.
Hey Iggy, Why did the Shell casings have anti Ice wording on them if they were trying to shoot detainees?
“Sounds like a false-flag psy-op to me.”
Am I doing that right?
Thugs did 500 million in damage to Minneapolis during the summer of 2020. Remember Tampon Tim’s wife smoking dope while the city burned.
It’s called “No justice, no peace,” snowflake.
Yawn
I bet it is tiring being you so, hence why you yawn
Not yawning at you Hundred3y35, yawning at Iggy.
My bad, looked like it was in response to my reply.
Get a room, you two.
I wonder if the comment Donald Trump made about Liz Cheney would be considered actionable by this committee, while understanding and recognizing that this is a Florida-specific initiative.
The comment I’m referring to was him calling for her to stand “with nine barrels shooting at her.”
Seems like politically-motivated violence to me.
Misty, perhaps you might share the source of your comment. This doesn’t sound like him and hasn’t been circulated in the left wing media.
Trump in an interview with Tucker Carlson. Easily found.

A quick fact check of that shows it is false. Try again libby.
Try again, tightie righty:

During a rally in Glendale, Arizona, on Thursday night, Trump referred to Cheney as a “radical war hawk” before suggesting he hoped to see her staring down multiple gun barrels. “Let’s put her with a rifle standing there with nine barrels shooting at her, OK?” Trump said. “And let’s see how she feels about it, you know, when the guns are trained on her face.”

He also spke to a crowd in 2016 about Hillary:
“DONALD TRUMP: Hillary wants to abolish – essentially abolish – the Second Amendment. By the way, and if she gets to pick…
(BOOING)
TRUMP: …If she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks.
(CROSSTALK)
TRUMP: Although the Second Amendment people – maybe there is. I don’t know.”
The only violent extremism I keep seeing is from the left. Over and over and over again.
Then it’s time for you to start doing some research, snowflake:

It’s be simpler to look up the Bar Association directory and cross reference names with ACLU, SPLC and Antifa memberships.
“Antifa memberships,” LOL.
