August 12 Alachua County Commission Special Budget Meetings

The Alachua County Commission will conduct two hybrid Special Budget Meetings on Thursday, August 12, 2021, at the Alachua County Administration Building (12 S.E. 1st Street, Gainesville). The meetings begin at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

The Commission will take public comment in person or by calling 1-800-876-7516. Masks are required regardless of vaccination status. The public may view the meeting on Cox Channel 12, Facebook, and the County’s Video on Demand website.

The 10 a.m. items of interest:

• FY22 Budget Development Meeting – Environmental Protection Climate Change, Facilities, Growth Management, Public Works, Solid Waste, Resiliency and Sustainability, and Capital Improvement Plan
• Residential Rental Unit Permit and Inspection Program

• FY22 Budget Development Meeting – Animal Services and Code Enforcement, Community Support Services, Court Services, and Fire Rescue
• Presentation of an overview of a Central Receiving Facility for Alachua County
