Basketball court improvements complete at two City parks

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The City of Gainesville’s Wild Spaces & Public Places Department and the Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs are pleased to announce that improvements at two City basketball courts are complete.

Hidden Gem Park
3170 NW 20th St.

Reconstruction of the basketball court began in late December and was completed in March. New basketball court poles were installed as part of this project. Walker Concrete & Masonry, LLC performed the work at a project cost of $25,103.

Cora P. Roberson Park
600 SW Sixth St.

Court lighting has been upgraded to provide enhanced visibility, with the new lights operational until 11 p.m. each evening. Musco Sports Lighting, LLC, performed the work at a project cost of $108,350.00.
