Bikes For The Kids provides bikes to kids and teaches them how to fix and maintain them – and you can help

Staff report
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – After moving into what he calls a “rougher area,” Austin Williams found that neighborhood kids enjoyed riding their bikes, but the bikes were in bad shape: they needed new tires, saddles, and other parts. He made it his mission to provide used and new bikes to kids and also teach them how to fix and maintain their bikes.
Williams requires bicycle recipients to be respectful, go to school, and help make any repairs to their bikes, and he says all the kids have “more than met me at my rule standard.” On any given day, his own six children and about 12 other kids hang out at his house and ride bikes together.
Williams has now provided bicycles to 33 kids, and those kids are now working on their own bikes. His biggest needs right now are handlebar grips, chains, tire tubes, seats, and bike locks.
Williams welcomes contributions to his GoFundMe here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/99ms8e-bikes-for-the-kids?member=30312533&sharetype=teamsÂ

Awesome way to give back Mr. Williams. I will definitely be sending you a donation and will forward the link on for this program to others in Gainesville.
This is fantastic! Way to go Austin!
