Bradenton man arrested after allegedly stomping on woman’s windshield after crash

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Trevor Dylan McKee, 33, of Bradenton, was arrested yesterday after allegedly stomping on the windshield of a car and breaking it after a crash and then spitting on the vehicle owner’s son.
At about 6:50 p.m. on July 21, McKee was reportedly riding a bicycle when he was involved in a vehicle crash in the 7700 block of W. Newberry Road; the responding Alachua County Sheriff’s Deputy reported that Florida Highway Patrol investigated the crash.
After the crash, McKee allegedly jumped on top of the vehicle and “willfully and maliciously” smashed the front windshield by stomping on it several times, leaving the windshield “cracked beyond repair.” The deputy reported that the victim remained in her vehicle and was unharmed.
A witness reportedly told the deputy that she saw McKee jump on the vehicle and destroy the windshield with his foot.
The victim’s son was reportedly trying to prevent McKee from damaging his mother’s vehicle when McKee allegedly spat on him several times.
A second witness reportedly told the deputy that he saw McKee spit on the victim’s face “several times” before law enforcement arrived.
Post Miranda, McKee reportedly said, “I plead the fifth” and declined to answer any questions.
McKee has been charged with property damage over $1,000 and battery with a prior battery conviction. According to court records, he has been in Alachua County for two days. He has two felony convictions (non-violent) and five misdemeanor convictions (one violent). Judge Kristine Van Vorst set bail at $35,000.

See how you feel after the 100th time you have been almost cut off and killed while on a bicycle and the car has simply failed to legally yield the right of way; often thinking they are in the right, or snickering knowing their tonnage will always win versus a bike.

As a former bicyclist and motorcyclist, you have to prepare to be cut off. People don’t see you or don’t care, but you are the one who will suffer. Failure to control your emotions, repeatedly will just put you somewhere you have no change to control yourself, because others will do it for you.
Should have drove with this idiot on the hood straight to the nearest police department. Of course brake checking would be needed.
