Buchholz Science Bowl team heads to nationals after winning region

Press release from Buchholz High School Science Bowl Team
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Buchholz High School’s Science Bowl team won the North Florida regional competition on January 20, and they are now one of only 64 teams qualifying for nationals. Most states get one winner, but Florida will send representatives from its southern and northern regions.
The northern region covers almost 90% of the land base of Florida. Buchholz’s A and B teams were undefeated until they faced each other in the finals; the A team won, and the B team took 2nd place for total domination.
Buchholz’s Science Bowl team has dominated this competition over the past eight years or so. They also finished in the final eight at nationals the past two years, and the team hopes to place even higher this year. The National Science Bowl will be held April 25–29, 2024, In Washington, D.C.
Instead of fighting with Harvard, Asian people could create their own “Harvard” and pretty much put the original out of business.
Great Job!!! More proof that our school system works. It has nothing to do with race, or socioeconomic status – it is 100% a product of Hard Work! Something that ALL parents should teach, but sadly many don’t care.
As it so scientifically says on the whiteboard: “Happy Friday.” I remember no such uplifting a message on any day in my HS science classes 65 years ago.
Congratulations students, for doing the hard work necessary to reach this plateau. Best of luck in being selected as best in America.
Awesome, way to go guys!!
