Career Offender arrested for pulling a knife at GRACE Marketplace
Staff report
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Dashad Jaron Clark, 36, was arrested yesterday at GRACE Marketplace and charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after allegedly pulling a knife on two people. He was also charged with possession of “molly.”
A Gainesville Police Department Officer responded to GRACE Marketplace regarding an incident that happened at about 6:14 p.m. on Friday night; the officer reported that the victims provided a video that showed Clark aggressively approaching two people while holding a knife.
A search incident to arrest reportedly produced about 1.5 grams of MDPV.
Post Miranda, Clark reportedly said he never pulled a knife on the victims and that he had been holding his lighter; he also said that one of the victims approached him, but the officer reported that the video did not show that. Clark reportedly identified the substance as “molly.”
Clark is a Registered Career Offender who has 14 felony convictions (none violent) and 22 misdemeanor convictions (none violent). He has served five state prison sentences, with his most recent release in 2021. He was most recently arrested in 2023 for moving without reporting his new address and unsuccessfully completed his three-month probation; he has not paid any of the fines assessed in that case. Bail information is currently unavailable.
Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.Â
What a prince!

The primary purpose of disGRACE was for giving an address for released suspects and criminals. So the courts, public lawyers, probation offices and bail bondsmen could *theoretically* locate their cases more easily (for them, not rest of Gainesville).
Any innocent homeless being housed and helped is mostly by accident, to give appearances of caring for the community.
Something about this “molly”. It seems almost everyone arrested these days has some of it on them.

Great! A perfect candidate for the City Commissions proposed downtown ‘diplomat’ program. Anyone signing up for a tour might want to leave their wallet and/or purse at home.
Lou, they’re called ‘ambassadores’. I guess that makes Grace Gainesville’s embassy.
Grace is the consulate for the bum ambassadors! We need to send that consulate to Israel.
Only career he has.
