Press release from Judi Cain

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Hotel Indigo in Celebration Pointe announces that their July Local Art Expo will feature local artist Judi Cain. Immerse yourself in Judi Cain’s beautiful artwork displayed throughout the hotel, as well as complimentary appetizers during this event.

Enjoy an enchanting evening at the July Local Art Expo at Hotel Indigo in Celebration Pointe, 5020 SW 30th Lane, on Friday, July 5, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. to celebrate the vibrant local art scene, meet fellow art enthusiasts, and show your appreciation for Judi Cain’s incredible contributions to our community in this memorable evening of art, food, and great company.

This special event will be a heartfelt farewell to one of our favorite local artists, Judi Cain. Cain, a former public-school teacher and owner of Center Stage Costumes and Magic until 2009, Judi now creates portraits in watercolor, acrylic, pastel, pencil, colored pencil, and oils; as well as landscapes, still life and “Creative Energy” paintings in various media. With a move north soon, Judi looks forward to this celebration of her art and time in the Gainesville area.

  • Celebration Point is in bankruptcy, but we would never know it if we only read the Alachua Chronicle. The highly biased owners will not run a negative article about a good buddy of Chuck Clemons. Sad.

  • Many years ago Judi did some beautiful calligraphy work for me on a piece done by her then husband, noted wood carver Rick Cain.

Best wishes to her in all she does…loosing another element of what made Gainesville a unique and inviting place to be long ago.

(just grabbed a copy of her portrait but DON’T tell her)
