Chase Brannan announces candidacy for State Representative, District 10

Press release from Chase Brannan for Florida House Representative
MACCLENNY, Fla. – Chase Brannan has announced his candidacy for State Representative, District 10. The district covers Baker, Bradford, Columbia, Union, and the northern part of Alachua County. The seat is currently held by Representative Chuck Brannan, who reaches his term limit in 2026.
“My family history extends eight generations deep in Florida, especially in North Central Florida,” Chase said. “Because of conservative principles instilled in me since childhood, I understand the value of community work and service to others. Therefore, I humbly offer my candidacy to serve as State Representative to the people of North Central Florida. I have seen first-hand how government can be used for the greater good but also harm the people of Florida. I will always fight to ensure the government serves the people. I strive to bring accessibility, conservative and rural values, and fairness to the citizens of North Central Florida.”
Chase Brannan, a native son of North Central Florida, was educated in Baker County public schools and worked on the family farm, raising cattle for livestock shows and the market. He was also active in the Future Farmers of America, obtaining the highest degree in the organization, the American Farmer Degree. Chase comes from a family of public servants – his grandfather served as a state trooper with the Florida Highway Patrol and at the local sheriff’s office as a deputy, his father has 30+ years in law enforcement with the U.S. Marshal’s Service and Baker County Sheriff’s OVice, his mother was a longtime educator and elementary school principal before her passing in 2007, and his stepmother is a career prosecutor and former county judge. Chase is proud to have a strong foundation and continue his family’s legacy of public service.
Chase earned an Associate of Arts from Florida Gateway College, where he served as Student Body Senate President and worked in the college’s Entertainment Department, assisting with shows and concerts at the college. He transferred to the University of Florida, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Agricultural Education and Communication with a minor in Sales and Management in Agribusiness. While at UF, Chase was elected to serve in student government as a senator on the Budget Committee, overseeing a $22 million budget that ensured the student union hall, libraries, and recreational gyms stayed open for all students at all hours. He was recognized as a J. Wayne Reitz Scholar for his leadership and achievements at the university. Chase was tapped into Florida Blue Key at the University of Florida after such service and became its secretary. After his Florida Blue Key service, he received the Sharon Connell Outstanding Service Award. Upon graduation, Chase was nominated for the Emelie L. Matthews Award of Excellence, which is awarded to an outstanding senior transfer student in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences.
While pursuing his master’s degree, Chase was selected as a Florida Gubernatorial Fellow for the 2020-2021 term. He was stationed at the Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) during the COVID-19 pandemic. During his time at DBPR, he worked to save Florida businesses from being shuttered permanently. Chase worked to re-open Florida as a business-friendly state and helped save our community from the pitfalls of California, Illinois, and New York. After his term, Chase received the Governor’s Fellowship Award for Outstanding Leadership and was selected to serve in Washington, D.C., for the Executive Office of Governor Ron DeSantis, working on federal relations. Following his time in D.C., Chase worked on Ron DeSantis’ re-election gubernatorial campaign as a Regional Field Director and was among the earliest hires on the re-election campaign. Florida Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis hired Chase to join his re-election campaign as his Political Director later that same year. Chase oversaw the CFO’s political schedule and logistics and advocated on the CFO’s behalf at functions. In 2022, CFO Patronis hired Chase as Director of Intergovernmental Affairs, helping manage office priorities and constituent issues. Chase dedicated himself to fighting for lower insurance premiums, returning citizens’ money/assets due to unclaimed property, ensuring the state’s money is well managed, and combating insurance/contractor fraud.
Chase Brannan is a cattleman, a real estate business owner, a Young Republican member, a lifelong conservative, a lifetime NRA member, a Florida Farm Bureau member, an Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity brother, President-Elect of an area Gator Club, and a public servant who has worked for the benefit of the citizens of the state of Florida.
“I know our brightest days are ahead for our state and country. I believe that with the right leadership and practical experience, we can make North Central Florida a place we can all be proud of for future generations and continue our rural way of life. I seek this office with an open mind to hear this district’s issues and strive to serve all my constituents. I am certain my combined experience, which includes budgetary, agricultural, governmental, and real-life experience, will serve the citizens to the highest degree possible. I pledge always to be a strong, faithful, conservative servant to North Central Florida’s people and protect our precious natural resources. I support Governor Ron DeSantis and President Donald J. Trump. I will always work diligently and proudly to uphold the Constitution and the laws of the free state of Florida,” said Chase.
More nepotism.
Kinda like the clerk of the court office in Alachua County. Take care now.
This is a lot of words to say ‘its my daddy’s seat’
“Chase Brannan is. . . a lifelong conservative”
Is this a declaration that Chase managed to attend the UF without being infected by any of those open minded woke liberal thoughts the commie professors teach at UF? I am sure seclusion in likeminded groupthink at Alfie Grabba Hoe ag fraternity kept him away from the evil UF liberalisms.
I want to be declared a lifelong conservative!!!
How do I do it? Who certifies “lifelong conservatism?” Do I have to fill out an application? Do I get a membership card certifying that I am a lifelong brain dead MAGAtard? If my IQ is smaller than my shoe size, is membership granted by default? If my breath smells like DeSantis and Trump arse from the twice daily kissing, will that suffice as my application credential?
You could move to California with the other weirdos
Political offices are not family businesses to be handed down to the kids. Nepotism is wrong.
So is gerrymandering, which the Republican legislature does. Alachua County is split among several surrounding red rural counties, to dilute and negate the votes of the Gainesville libs. North Alachua County does not belong in the same district with four north Florida rural counties full of tobacco farmers. District 10 is an abomination.
