Interesting…
I have no idea what this is about.
Does anyone else know more?
Just a guess… the ACCT Director required Aces in Motion, a nonprofit that uses Tennis as a mentoring tool, to provide a list of the students and other information for the Trust to ensure viability of the program OR he would withhold funds that AIM needs. They declined to produce that information. Personally, this IS the kind of oversight we need with regards to the city and ACCT to ensure that all funds spent by ANY trust or nonprofit is doing the right thing by the people that support them and the clients they serve. Again, just a guess.
Trust: noun
1. firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something.
“relations have to be built on trust”
I guess that’s pretty difficult to find in Alachua County and Gainesville. Remember, the voters put these people we obviously had a false sense of “trust” in, to place in positions we should be able to trust. Yet today, Gainesville leadership is planning to implement an ordinance to prohibit background checks on potential employees.
All of you liberal, progressive elitists, I would like to offer services to house sit while you’re on vacation.
